With reference to the King Prajadhipok?s Institute?s announcement of the KPI Congress XIII on ?Citizenship and the Future of Thai Democracy? to be held at the United Nations Conference Center, Bangkok, Thailand during November 3-5, 2011, I would like to call for a postponement of the Congress.
Due to flood crisis in several provinces and many areas in Bangkok and it may be possible that the flood level may come to inner Bangkok next week, and that the help to mass numbers of people in many provinces of Thailand will take weeks, and months, King Prajadhipok?s Institute (KPI) would like to postpone the KPI Congress XIII.
We will inform you as soon as the new date of the KPI Congress XIII has been decided.

Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King?s 7th
Cycle Birthday Anniversary, 5th December 2011, Thailand?s leading institutions
(the National Assembly, King Prajadhipok?s Institute, Thammasat University,
Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board, Thailand
Development Research Institute, Research and Development Institute of
Sufficiency Economy Philosophy Foundation, and the Pridi Bhanomyong Institute)
have joined together to hold an international conference on sufficiency
economy, titled ?The Meaning of Sufficiency Economy: Theory and Practice in
Society, Economy and Business?, to take place on 16-17 February 2012 at Plaza
